Course Description:
Healing Relationships specializes in recognizing the difference between intellectual knowledge and a deeper intuitive experiential understanding. This training is devoted to focusing on the primary importance of the healing relationship and human connection between therapist and client. Through lecture, practice and discussion, students will delve into the essential teaching of Yoga to acknowledge the individual client’s mind-body-spirit consciousness, while increasing awareness of one’s own deeper intuitive wisdom. This module will help develop, inform, and refine intuitive skills to support healing on a deeper level.

200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and one year of personal practice

Yoga Alliance (YA): Approximately 30 total hours. You can input your contact hours using your YA login information. Integral Yoga 300-hour: Approximately 30 hours towards RYT 500 designation Yoga Therapy: This is one of the required modules to become certified as an Integral Yoga Therapist

This training program includes free access to all Yoga classes offered at Integral Yoga San Francisco and free access to IYTV, a large and ever-expanding library of recorded Integral Yoga Teachings, throughout the duration of this training!
Sandra Susheela is the director and Senior YCat trainer and qualifier for the full 300-hour YCat all levels training. Sandra is a highly recognized Integral Yoga® teacher holding advanced training certificates in Stress Management, Integrative, and Mind-Body Therapies and Patient Navigation. Sandra has mentored and taught alongside YCat founder Jnani Chapman for the past 12 years and is committed to taking her YCat Yoga Therapy program forward since her passing in December. Sandra was a Yoga teacher and stress management educator as well as a group support facilitator for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. She has also taught the YCat curriculum for the Mount Sinai Breast Health Resource Center and the NYC Ruttenberg Oncology infusion center. Sandra has offered Yoga therapy, Yoga education, and gentle adaptive Yoga classes for many trainings and retreats including for Integral Yoga programs, Romemu, Omega Institute, and the Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC. In addition, she was one of the first trained Urban Zen Integrative Therapists in practice in NYC for their 2008 initiative and research. Sandra has also taught Yoga for the Special Child and at many retreats for Chai Lifeline in the Orthodox Jewish community. Sandra is currently a Yoga Therapist in research at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in Nashville. She has a passion for educating and empowering students and other teachers, and for creating a safe, compassionate space to explore healing through Yoga. Sandra is appreciated for her patience, presence, and dedication to the whole person. She has years of personal and professional experience and does her best to live by the quote, "Wherever you are, Yoga is there for you."
