Join us for a 5 week advanced study of Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali. We will explore key Sutras from each chapter, examine how they are grouped together, and learn how to both integrate these principles in practical ways and how to share them effectively.

Many who have completed Raja Yoga Teacher Training or have studied Raja Yoga extensively have expressed interest in a deeper dive into the study and practice of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. These timeless teachings have transformed the lives of inestimable spiritual seekers. Each time we approach them with open hearts and quiet minds, new levels of meaning are exposed and we awaken more fully to the Spiritual Presence we all share.

This in depth study will include:

  •  researching and comparing multiple translations and commentaries of selected Sutras from all four chapters

  •  learning to pronounce the Sanskrit of the Sutras and experience the corresponding vibrations

  •  learning how these sutras relate to meditation practice, other sadhana and our daily life

  •  group discussion to support and inspire each other

  •  working with a case study of a group or individual to present the Sutras that can bring balance and healing

  •  the option to practice teaching the integration of Raja Yoga into Yoga classes

  •  the opportunity to co-lead a 3 week scripture study series offered to the public with the support of our experienced mentoring staff.

Prerequisites:

  •  completion of Raja Yoga Teacher Training or an alternate extensive study course

  •  having read through all of the chapters of Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali in one or more translations prior to the course

  •  experience with incorporating the Sutras into daily life

All the materials shared online and the recordings of the lectures will be available throughout the course and for 3 months after its completion.
