Our Yoga Teacher Training program has been training teachers and changing lives since 1981. Integral Yoga uses an inward, spiritually-focused form of Hatha Yoga to lead practitioners to an experience of inner peace and greater awareness.
In this 2-Module format, you have the option to take one or both modules. Completing both is required in order to receive 200-hour Integral Yoga teacher training certification.

Module 1, Yoga Immersion Program
February 15, 2022 - April 12, 2022
Tuesdays: 5:30-8:30 pm PT
Sundays: 8:30 am–12:00 pm, 1:30–4:30 pm PT
Yoga Immersion Program provides a strong foundation for personal and spiritual development. Whether you want to teach others or take your own practice to a deeper level, this module will offer an authentic experience of living Yoga as well as well rounded in-depth yoga studies.
Module 1 Curriculum offers in-depth learning of varied aspects of yoga practice; yoga asana, philosophy, pranayama and meditation, and understanding of other traditional yogic practices as well as guidance to establish personalized home practice.
You can choose to complete module 2 within the next 2 years to fulfill the 200-hour certification requirements.
Module 2, Yoga Teaching Essentials

Teaching Essentials Module provides further understanding of Hatha Yoga and a thorough training in developing the skills necessary to become a confident, knowledgeable Yoga instructor. RYT-200 certified teachers are welcome to participate to refine their teaching skills. This module has a new expanded curriculum in anatomy, teaching methodology and professional development.
Module 2 Curriculum includes a thorough training in asana, anatomy, teaching methodology, practicum and professional development, including how to make adjustments, teach yoga workshops, and much more. Our weekly teaching practice sessions are supported by experienced mentoring staff, and students are guided individually towards the goal of teaching a full class.
200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, 2-part Program Details
Our Yoga Teacher Training program offers a balance of theory and practice on a broad range of topics. Graduates of both Module 1 & 2 are certified to teach Beginner Level Hatha Yoga and are qualified to register with Yoga Alliance as a RYT-200.
This training program includes free access to all Yoga classes offered at Integral Yoga Institute San Francisco and free access to IYTV, a large and ever-expanding library of recorded Integral Yoga Teachings and classes, throughout the duration of this training!
Support and Community
Graduates of our 2-part program may apply to teach at the Integral Yoga Institute. If accepted, they receive additional free training with a mentor and ongoing continuing education. They can also apply for a variety of graduate level teacher trainings leading towards 500-hour certification.
The entire training can be completed online. If the current situation allows, we will add some non-mandatory in-person options. We are committed to providing a safe and high-quality program for all participants. Our graduates will develop the necessary skills to teach in-person or online. The Yoga Alliance criteria about teaching trainings online is adapting as we move forward. We have dedicated staff to oversee the online coaching to have personal connections throughout the training.
Please be aware that you must have regular access to the Internet to participate in this online training. You must be able to run Zoom on your computer or tablet, and have an active email account for delivery of course materials.

A $25 non-refundable application fee will be applied towards the tuition. After your application has been accepted you will be prompted to make a payment. If apply before 1/15/2022, you will receive a Promo Code for discounted early bird price. For RYT 200 teachers, please email us your diploma when you apply for the Module 2 at [email protected] and receive a Promo Code for a discounted price. Full payment is required one week before the start of the program, unless a prior payment plan has been arranged.

Swami Ramananda C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, YACEP is the Executive Director of the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco and a greatly respected senior teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition, who has been practicing Yoga for over 45 years. Ramananda offers practical methods of integrating the timeless teachings and practices of Yoga into daily life, and transforming the painful aspects of human experience into steps toward realizing one’s full potential. He leads beginner, intermediate and advanced Hatha Yoga teacher training programs in San Francisco as well as Meditation and Raja Yoga teacher trainings. He offers a variety of programs in many locations in the U.S., Europe and South America. Ramananda co-developed the Stress Management Teacher Training program with Swami Vidyananda, has trained many teachers to bring Yoga into corporate, hospital and medical settings, and has taught mind/body wellness programs in many locations. He is a certified Yoga therapist and founding board member of the Yoga Alliance, a national registry that supports and promotes yoga teachers as professionals. He is a co-founder of The Spiritual Action Initiative (SAI) which brings together individuals committed to working for social justice for all beings and for the care and healing of our natural world. His warmth, wisdom and sense of humor have endeared him to many.
Diana Meltsner, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, YACEP has been teaching Yoga in the Bay Area since 2001. Diana has been a lead teacher trainer for 200-hour Integral Yoga Teacher Trainings since 2012 and Meditation Teacher Training since 2020. She also assists the Adaptive Yoga Teacher Training for NY Integral Yoga Institute. The classes she teaches include various levels of Hatha Yoga, chair/gentle, prenatal, guided mindfulness meditations, and various Yoga workshops including anatomy and healing with Yoga, pranayama and meditation workshops. She's been working as a health educator and Yoga instructor for Kaiser Permanente since 2014.
Diana Meltsner is a C-IAYT certified Yoga therapist and serves as a mentor for the Integral Yoga Therapy 800-hour certification program. Diana offers individual therapeutic sessions privately and at the SF Integral Yoga Therapy Clinic with focus on physical and mental wellness. Her offerings help people to find a deeper sense of well-being and ability to move through life with increased ease, intuition, and stress resilience as well as finding personal and spiritual awakening.
Snehan Born, E-RYT 500, has over four decades of experience with yoga. He resides at the Integral Yoga Institute of San Francisco, where he teaches yoga classes and is a lead teacher trainer. Snehan is certified in all levels of Integral Yoga Hatha and has received additional certifications in Pranayama, Meditation, Raja Yoga and Stress Management from Integral Yoga. Chanting mantras and playing the harmonium are part of his regular practice and classes. Snehan has lived and traveled extensively throughout India and practiced with many teachers there. He has taught yoga all over the US as well as in India, Nepal, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Japan and Europe.
